Build Your Own Solar Air Heater

Do you Have a South facing wall on your home that gets lots of sun during the winter? If so then you have an oppertunity to save lots of money on your heating bills.

Solar heating is a simple, cost effictive way to suppliment the heating of your home.

I have searched and searched the Web on Solar heating and have found numerous sites for companys that build Solar heating modules for homes but they are very expensive. There is no need, if you know how to use a saw and a screwdriver, to pay these high costs for Solar heating.

A Solar heater is simply an insulated box with a sheet of black painted metal inside and a glass front that faces the sun. The box is then ducted into your home. As the sun warms the metal the air from your home is ducted into the bottom of the box and heated. As the air heats it rises and is then ducted back into your home. This creates an induction current that moves the air in and then out of the box. A simple 4x8 unit pulls the cold air from your floor into the box and then dumps it back into your home at 120 degrees or more, for FREE!

In my next posting I will go into the construction of a simple Solar air heater.

So long and thanks for the intrest.
