Hi, I created a website in 1998 with the idea of using the internet such that individuals and groups could gain and share info about low-tech self-sustainable practices. My website was called Through the Bagelhole and was a non profit. I changed the name eventually to sharingsustainablesolutions, since, though it wasn't as much fun as the previous name it was a lot clearer. Unfortunately, I was so busy with other things that after the first year of collecting about 300 articles, I have sloughed off the project, especially since google became what it is today, which undermined the value of my project.
Now, I am living in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, hoping to find land and create a self-sustainable as possible community, with a foundation of unconditional love, unity, harmony, which is even trickier sometimes than becoming self-sustainable. It also may be a performing arts community.
Vilcabamba is kind of a magical place where everything seems possible. At the end of the month there will be self-sustainable festival at the community center.
In some ways its a lot easier to be self-sustainable here than elsewhere due to the moderate climate (60-80 degrees F all year round), and that is a big reason why I am here. Its also interesting that there are many gringos here who believe in zero point energy machines, though I haven't seen one yet. This is led by Brian O'Leary, the x-astronaut, physicist.
If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to contact me.
