Posted On 09/30/2009 11:37 AM by drummerdom

Is there anybody out ther who can assist us with getting a power purchase agreement for a 15,000 acre wind farm in New Mexico?  The wind farm is to be located on the eastern side of the state where it is always windy. (close to west Texas) If there is anybody out there who can help us, please contact myself Dominic Montoya through my energy friends.com or my father Richard Montoya at NEWMEXICOWINDANDSOLAR at YAHOO.COM Thanks for your help in creating a greener future!!!

Where in that part of the country could their possably be a demand for that much electric power?  Pikens has already overbuilt the west Texas area with so many wind turbins that no more than 60% of them can be generating at any time, the GRID cant transmit that much power!  It will cost us grid connected consumers several BILLION $ and 10 years to build enough power lines to carry that power to where the demand is (DFW, Houstin and the I-35 corridor).  Because of "deregulation" now you have 3 layers of companies involved;  the generating companies,  the transmiting and distrubiting companies that deliver the power to the meter on your house,  and the REP (Retail Electric Provider) that gets the metter reading from the delivery company and bills the consumer.

Could you imagin if Ford said we have built the cars here in Detroit, now you retailers get them to your place to sel them.

Deregulation of a natural monolopy is wrong!
