Blog Entry: I can not set up columns in this format so I will give the high lights of the test. In 5 MPH winds the 14 inch Wind turbine would not turn it made a high of 0 volts. In 5 MPH winds the 14 by 14 inch Energy Prophecy made a high of 1.0 volts with a 13 to 1 gear ratio. In 8 MPH the 14 inch Wind turbine made a high of 0.6 volts at a 6 to 1 gear ratio.(2.5 volts Danger turning to fast at 2.7 to 1, excluded as unsafe ) In 8 MPH winds the 14 by 14 inch Energy Prophecy made a high of 3.4 volts with a 30 to 1 gear ratio. In 12 MPH the 14 inch Wind turbine made a high of 2.5 volts at a 6 to 1 gear ratio.(3.3 volts flying apart had to shut it down at 2.7 to 1, excluded as unsafe ) In 12 MPH winds the 14 by 14 inch Energy Prophecy made a high of 4.5 volts with a 30 to 1 gear ratio. The Wind Turbine had enough torque to turn it's generator at a 6 to 1 gear ratio. The Energy Prophecy had enough torque to turn it's generator at a 30 to 1 gear ratio. ( It showed the potential to turn at a much higher gear ratio, but 30 to 1 was the highest possible option with this torque converter.) ackerman18
