Blog Entry: I got my first response from the US Patent Office and I'm not sure if it is good or bad news. The bad news is that in 1911 Charles F Craddick received patent #1009896 on a Turbine Apperatus similar in design to the Energy Prophecy. You can look up patent #1009896 on Google Patent. The good news is that the Craddick Turbine Apperatus works with propeller blades that cut through the wind. The Energy Prophecy low-Wind Turbine catches the wind on top like a sailboat while the side and bottom blades catch basically no wind. There is also two other patents that involve the use of hook tip blades. The hook blades seam to really help with rotation and I would hate to lose that aspect of the project.
